Dear Friends,

Please help us stop HB 2184, the Comprehensive Sex Ed (CSE) bill that would integrate sex ed into every curriculum; every grade level, including pre-K through 12th grade; and in every conceivable subject. Please note, the sex ed we are opposing is not your typical Junior High health class curriculum; it is pornographic in nature and begins to sexualize children before they can even read.

UIRGENT: Mon., February 3, at 1:30pm, House Edu Committee vote on SeXXX Ed.

This Monday is a consequential day in the lives of children and families in our state. Last Friday, the Senate passed their version of the CSE bill, SB 5395, which is now awaiting a hearing in the House Education Committee. Meanwhile, this same Committee will be voting to pass the House “Comprehensive Sexual Health Education” mandate, HB 2184, onto the House floor at 1:30 PM, where it will pass.

We need you to call your Representatives TODAY, Friday, January 31, to urge. It’s likely the House Education Committee will vote “Yes” unless their Majority Democrat Caucus members receive a tsunami of calls from their constituents.

Please contact your Representatives and tell him or her to vote NO on HB 2184.

Here are three quick ways to contact them:

  1. Call the Legislative Hotline at (800) 562-6000 to leave a message for both your Representatives, as well as your Senator (always a good idea to keep them all in the “loop”).
    – Suggested message: “Representative _____________, as one of your constituents, I oppose HB 2184, on Comprehensive Sex Education. Please OPPOSE this very bad bill.”
  2. Call Representatives’ office directly. Use the Legislative website District Finder if you don’t who represents you and the  House Member Roster if you know their names, but don’t know their Olympia office numbers.
    – Leave a voice message and/or direct message, same as above.
  3. Email your Representatives at [first.last]@leg.wa.gov. Use the the House Member Roster for the exact configuration of their email addresses.
    – Use same message as above, with the Subject line: OPPOSE HB 2184!

The “Comprehensive Sexual Health Education” bill is the jewel in Planned Parenthood’s crown—they have been advocating for its passage for two years and have had a hands on role in the curriculum creation and oversight committees. If you need to know more, visit the Family Policy Institute of Washington Parental Rights: Comprehensive Sex Education Resource Page.

Multiply your influence by asking others to join you in taking action against this very bad bill.

“For such a time as this”… Thank you for your consideration to speak on behalf of those who cannot speak for themselves.

Blessings, Dani
