Annually on June 1st (at least the past several years), corporate America, and many governments wake up full of gay pride and ready to plaster a rainbow onto any and all products in order to proclaim to the masses, “We’re not prejudiced.”

Of course, it does not matter that the vast number of people opposed to the hyper-obsession with LGBT messaging are not homophobic, but rather, deeply value the importance of traditional marriage and raising children in a pro-family environment, and frankly have real world, scientifically based concerns with the inappropriate sexual ideologies and practices being promoted. The radical left long ago adopted the strategy of Joseph Goebbels: If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.

Sadly, the tactic works. Despite knowing that opposition to the LGBT indoctrination is based on protection of the family (and children in particular), some in the GOP find it too politically expensive to stand for Christian values and practices and routinely cave to this radical agenda. Unfortunately, instead of just silence on the matter (which would be cowardly on its own), GOP representatives across the country are eager to buy into the LGBT lobby and their movement to spread dangerous practices to children and vulnerable adults.

A prime example is the so-called Equality Act – which in fact would gut religious freedom in the United States – and is currently stalled in the Senate, but let us not forget those who voted for its passage in the House: Rep. Tom Reed, R-NY, Rep. John Katko, R-NY, and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-PA. Another pitiful example is that of the Republican-controlled Senate in Michigan which recently signed a resolution marking June 2021 as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Pride Month.” Pathetically, two GOP state senators sponsored the resolution along with several other Democrats, and the resolution was passed with a voice vote, leaving no record of who else within the Michigan GOP supported this move.

Perhaps even more stunning, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel wished everyone a “Happy #PrideMonth” at the beginning of June and stated the GOP’s intent to continue “supporting measures that promote fairness and balance protections for LGBTQ Americans and those with deeply held religious beliefs.”

At the end of the day, It is dishonest and deceitful to whitewash the modern LGBT agenda as just being about “fairness” and “balance.” We are long past that point. Now, this lobby is rooted in anti-Christian discrimination and government-sponsored child abuse and seeks to destroy anyone who disagrees.

The propaganda is far-reaching, seen both nationally with the RNC, and locally at our front-door in Pierce County, which is pushing a resolution to name the month of July as “LGBTQ+ Pride Month.” Next week, the councilmembers will take a vote and it is reported that all Democrats are lost, and that sadly, the Republican members, including County Executive Dammeier, are still undecided. If the Republicans lock up and Executive Dammeier vetoes the resolution, we win. If they cave to the sexual and anti-Christian extremists, we lose.

This will be a big test for Pierce County and the GOP establishment. Will more GOP politicians sacrifice their children and souls, either out of fear of the mob or because they have truly sold out on their values and constituents? Pray that they make the right decision and avoid following King County and Seattle’s lead with their July 6th vote!

Pro-Christian advocates should remember the words of Jesus and stand up to this dangerous indoctrination of our children: “If the world hates you, realize it hated me first…And they will do all these things to you on account of my name” (John 15: 18-21). Not wanting drag queens to read stories to your children is not hate – it is common sense. Not wanting your children to reject Christianity and to self-mutilate is not hate – it is saving a child’s life.

The radical LGBT movement labels itself with “love” while celebrating men in women’s restrooms and boys on girls’ sports teams, ignoring basic biology, promoting child mutilation, and rewriting the rules of the English language, replacing simple pronouns with vague, made-up words. The GOP may need a reminder that wolves come in sheep’s clothing.

We must love and assist all our brothers and sisters who struggle with same sex attractions and gender dysphoria. At the same time, we must meet them where they are with the truth of Jesus Christ and help bring them to a state of grace, and not lead them to committing greater evil. If we remain silent, or even worse, promote this movement, our children and our country will greatly suffer, and evil will win.
