HB 2421
Third Party Visitation
Description
House Bill 2421, prefiled on December 7th, 2009, grants that any person may petition for visitation rights with a child so long as they have had an ongoing and established relationship for at least a year with no financial expectations. This bill would not apply to children living with both of their parents, whether biological, adoptive, or adjudicated.
Why this is important to us: The bill appears to imply that single parents do not exercise judgments as well as married parents when it comes to their children
