HB 1612
Concerning pregnancy prevention programs
Description
HB 1612 seeks to protect people from unintended pregnancy and STD’s through medically-accurate and evidence-based programs. Abstinence may or may not be part of the program.
Programs that are deemed “medically accurate” and “evidenced-based” tend to be presented with an attitude that kids and teens WILL most likely have sex, and then fully educate them on “safe” ways to prevent consequences that aren’t always prevented with contraceptives and “education.”
