HB2793

Registered domestic partners
Description

HB 2793, which changes the words “mother” and “father” to “parent”, expands the rights of parents to domestic partners and other couples. This bill does more then change words, however; it implies that gender is not important when it comes to parenting. This bill comes during a time when fatherlessness is a known national disaster, where the government is already spending $99.8 billion on programs for fatherless homes.
